On June 1, 1983, at 4:29am, at Maple Ridge General Hospital, a baby was born. She was named Dawn Margaret Adams. Dawn, partly because my Grandpa wanted that name, as well as my parents, and also because I was born at the crack of dawn.
I was a happy yet quiet baby. My parents said that when I was born, I made not one sound, I just smiled. From that day I still smile. I like to smile a lot. Well from the hospital, my parents took me to what was going to be one of many different homes. The house was located in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada. After a few months, my Dad moved us to his parents house, in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. We lived there for awhile, until we moved yet again, to Mission, BC. We lived in a nice little home for a few years until I was around 4 years old. Within the four years my younger sister Jennifer was born.
So when I was four, my parents moved my sister as well as myself to a new home about 2 minutes from the old house. This house was bought, and it was only up a hill from my first Elementary school, Mission Central Elementary.
We lived in that house until I was around 8 years old. Within the 8 years I went to Elementary school from Kindergarten to grade 3. My sister went to school as well. Also within those 8 years, another sister was born, her name was Amanda. So now there were three of us, and thank goodness that was the last one. We were a lot to handle. So when I was 8, Jennifer was 6, and Amanda was 4.
During that year a sad event happened. My parents divorced. My Dad wanted to sell the house after that. My Mom got full custody of us, and we ended up moving into a house across the street, with a man my mom started to see from our church. A year later my mom married the man, whome I was supposed to call my step-father. After the wedding my mom and step-father moved us to Chilliwack, BC which was about a 35-45min drive from Mission. I was just starting grade 4 at the time. My new elementary school was called Chilliwack Central. Wow, two schools with a central in their name. So we lived in Chilliwack for about 3 years, from grade 4 to the end of my grade 6 year. The year of my graduation from Elementary school. I was going to grad with all my classmates and start the next year at Chilliwack Middle School. But my Mom divorced my step-dad, and we ended up moving to Agassiz, BC which was about a 15-20min drive from Chilliwack.
Of course we didn't wait till my grad to move. We actually moved on my birthday. I was very upset that I couldn't grad with my friends. I ended up going to Kent Elementary in Agassiz for the rest of grade 6, and gradding with a bunch of people I didn't know.
Eventually I made a few friends, and the next year I went to AESS, or Agassiz Elementary Secondary School. The elementary was because grade 7 was in there, only because there was no room for grade 7's at Kent. My grade 7 year was hell. I didn't get along with anyone, not that I fought with anyone, but they didn't like me. I was sort of a loner, and I didn't really like the people at my school. And to fit in I started smoking. Yeah, smoking in grade 7. Sick eh? Not that it's not common these days....
After about two weeks of that I got caught, and I've never smoked since. Nor do I plan on it. It's a bad habit, and it kills many people every year. So after my grade seven year, and after the summer before my grade 8 year, we moved again, to Abbotsford, BC, which happens to be my current residence. I started at the high school here called Rick Hansen Secondary School, or better known as RHSS. I've been going there for almost 4 years. I'm in grade 11 right now. One more year till Graduation, and I know I'll be here for my grad which I'm happy about.
Now my mom is engaged to a very nice man named John. I love him to death. He's really nice. So now you know a little about my life. I'm currently 16 years old, and am enjoying life! :)
